    In the broad and dramatic scroll of the times, Weihai Ziguang is making an effort in the area of science and technology. On 22nd December, the China General Chamber of Commerce announced the results of the "2022 China General Chamber of Commerce Science and Technology Award", and Weihai Ziguang won the second prize of the "China General Chamber of Commerce Science and Technology Award - National Commercial Scientific and Technological Progress". "Forest algorithm model construction and application of figs intelligent grading and processing of new product research and development" won the "China Business Federation Science and Technology Award - National Commercial Science and Technology Progress Second Prize", which is the second prize following the 28th November, 2023, this is another important national honour within one month after Weihai Ziguang won the first prize of Natural Resources Science and Technology Award on 28th November 2023.

    This honour is not only an affirmation of Weihai Ziguang's strength in research and development, but also a commendation of Weihai Ziguang's deep cultivation of fig industry and assistance in rural revitalisation.

    The light of honour brings together the fire of wisdom. On the road of scientific research exploration, Weihai Ziguang has always insisted on openness and cooperation, working hand in hand with many scientific research institutes, colleges and universities and enterprises to form a strong scientific research synergy, so that the sparks of wisdom collide in the exchange, and the pace of innovation accelerates in cooperation. Weihai Ziguang, together with eight scientific research institutes and enterprises, jointly released an innovative methodology on the highly efficient excavation technological system of marine biologically active substances, and made a concerted effort to promote the development of the marine science career. Through subject sharing, industry-university-research co-operation, Weihai Ziguang explores the industry's cutting-edge subjects with colleagues from the academia and the industry, shares resources, complements each other's strengths, carries out creative scientific research projects, carries out in-depth technological innovation and development, and realises effective transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

    To revitalise the countryside, the industry must be revitalised, Weihai Ziguang has devoted itself to fig industry since 2006, taking the development of characteristic advantageous industries as the fundamental initiative to effectively connect the revitalisation of the countryside, taking the lead to start exploring and extending the fig industry chain, constructing the modernised fig deep-processing production workshop, introducing the advanced production equipments and technologies, optimising the fig processing technology, and developing a series of high-value-added products: fig wine, fig beverage, fig brandy, fig NFC, fig tea, dried fruit, fig pulp and so on, and carried out industrialised production, and transformed the key technology of high-value processing into technological achievements, under the leadership of Weihai Ziguang, the fig industry has become a bright landscape of rural revitalisation.

    A country is founded on talent, and an enterprise thrives on talent. Weihai Ziguang takes fig industry as the basis, combines the strategic planning of rural revitalisation and the actual needs of fig economic development, builds 9000 square fig planting base, introduces fig leading talents, the State Council specially subsidized experts, second grade researcher of Shandong Academy of Forestry, and the winner of the first prize of Provincial Science and Technology, Professor Sun Lei, to carry out the work of introducing and selecting the good seeds of figs, develop the technology of fig seedling nursery of excellent varieties as well as quality control technology of fig seedlings of different varieties, and actively promote the research of new varieties and new knowledge into the field. Professor Sun Lei carries out fig seedling introduction and selection, develops fig seedling quality control technology and different varieties of figs, carries out research on figs inverse season, and actively promotes the new varieties of fig planting, new technology and new knowledge into the field.

    The road of Ziguang is taking science and technology as the soul, through technology research and development, industrial upgrading and attracting talents, in order to gather wisdom and other initiatives, and continue to release the fig agricultural innovation vitality, and high-quality to promote the development and construction of fig characteristic industry chain.
