In the 2024 China Shandong Doctoral (Post) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Weihai Ziguang won the Bronze Award in the Modern Agriculture and Food Track for its breakthrough technological achievements as a postdoctoral fellow. This honor not only recognizes the personal abilities of postdoctoral fellows, but also reflects Weihai Ziguang's continuous efforts in scientific research innovation and industry talent integration.

This competition is hosted by the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Shandong Province, with the theme of "Attracting Talents and Creating a Leading Future". It has attracted 1290 projects from 23 countries (regions), over 300 universities and research institutes, and more than 500 enterprises worldwide, with a team of over 3600 members. The competition is intense and unprecedented in scale.

In this competition, Dr. Wang Chenying, a postdoctoral fellow at Weihai Ziguang, won the bronze award in the talent recruitment category for her "Pea Protein Plant Meat Preparation" project and will deepen her research at the company's postdoctoral research workstation. At the same time, the company has launched multiple research and development projects for new pea protein plant protein meat products, fully promoting the development of related products to meet market demand.

Since its establishment in 1997, Weihai Ziguang has always adhered to the strategy of strengthening enterprises through talent. Relying on the national postdoctoral research workstation, Weihai Ziguang actively participates in national scientific research projects, overcomes technical difficulties, and has won numerous awards. From the first prize of the Natural Resources Science and Technology Award to the second prize of the 14th Liangxi Forestry Science and Technology Award, each honor is a recognition of Weihai Ziguang's scientific research and innovation, and a witness to the effectiveness of the industry talent integration strategy. The postdoctoral fellows in the station also fully utilized their personal professional advantages, closely combined with the company's industrial development needs, deeply explored scientific research potential, and published a series of high-quality academic papers, including 86 SCI indexed papers, fully demonstrating the scientific research and innovation capabilities of the Weihai Ziguang postdoctoral team.
