On the afternoon of October 20, Weihai Ziguang held the opening report of the postdoctoral practice base, and invited professors of Shandong University (Weihai Campus) and leaders of Weihai Economic Development Zone Science and technology innovation bureau to attend the meeting. Li Sen, general manager of Weihai Ziguang Youjian Co., Ltd., and heads of relevant departments attended the opening report meeting.

This report meeting is a joint project of Weihai Ziguang and Shandong University to introduce Dr. songhaichao to carry out "research and application of key technologies for probiotic biotransformation of drug and food homologous functional foods". At the meeting, Dr. songhaichao elaborated the significance of the project, and introduced in detail that a large number of new ingredients produced in the fermentation process can enhance the efficiency, and synergize the probiotic characteristics of living bacteria, which can significantly improve the human function regulation of functional foods fermented by probiotics.

The expert group carefully listened to the report and asked questions, and put forward guidance on how to better carry out on-site research. After review, the expert group believes that the opening report matches the current and future development projects of Weihai Ziguang, the research has innovative significance and economic value, the research goal is clear, and the design scheme is feasible. On this occasion, the research project of postdoctoral students jointly cultivated by Weihai Ziguang and Shandong University started smoothly. Up to now, Weihai Ziguang postdoctoral practice base has completed the entry of two postdoctors.

Since the establishment of the postdoctoral practice base in 2019, Weihai Ziguang has vigorously carried out research and innovation, continuously increased investment in scientific research equipment, provided supporting services for the transformation of scientific research achievements, and ensured the successful completion of postdoctoral research projects.

At present, Weihai Ziguang R&D center has nearly 60 R&D engineers, of which doctors and masters account for more than 80%.

Since 2019, the R&D center has undertaken 8 national and provincial scientific and technological innovation projects and obtained 18 national invention patents. At present, it has obtained 64 registered health foods approved by the State Food and drug administration. Through years of continuous innovation and development, Weihai Ziguang has created a fine and perfect industrial technical barrier.
